“Being recognized as a Hispanic Woman of Distinction is not just a personal honor—it’s a testament to the strength of our community, the power of perseverance, and the importance of representation. I’m proud to stand among women who are breaking barriers, building bridges, and redefining leadership with purpose and pride.” – Estrellita S. Sibila, JD, LLM, founder of Sibila Law.

Estrellita S. Sibila Selected as 2025 Hispanic Woman of Distinction Honoree

Sibila Law founder Estrellita S. Sibila will be honored at the 24th annual Hispanic Women of Distinction charity luncheon set for August 29, 2025!

Now in it’s 24th year, the Hispanic Women of Distinction aims to elevate and empower Latinas and to recognize the influence they have in the South Florida community.  Over the more than two decades, we have seen these powerful women’s share of the nation’s population grow and that is expected to increase 25.7% by the year 2050!

Presented by Latina Style Magazine, the nation’s leader in Hispanic women business in partnership with Nicklaus Children’s Health System, the region’s only specialty licensed healthcare system exclusively for children whose mission is to create a healthy future for every child.

The 2025 charity luncheon will be hosted at the newly renovated Pier 66 Hotel on Southeast 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale from 11 am to 2 pm. Tickets for the luncheon are $110 per person.

“We are so delighted to host this year’s celebration at the beautiful, Pier 66 in their ballroom.  Guests will be amazed at the elegance and services they offer,” said Elaine Miceli-Vasquez, co-founder and producer.

Latin Business Today, a longtime media co-sponsor publishes online content on law, business, marketing, innovation, as well as content on Latino culture and features stories on each of the year’s honorees.  In addition, more than 30 corporate and media partners celebrate the leadership, vision and achievements of the annual honorees selected.

This year, the charity selected is FLITE Center, with the mission to guide those aging out of foster care, and other vulnerable youth, on a successful journey to independence through education, employment, housing, health and wellness, resource navigation and system of care coordination. Their vision is that no youth travels the road to adulthood alone.  A fantastic silent auction and raffles at the luncheon will benefit the FLITE Center’s services.

Founded by the late Erwin M. Vasquez, M.D., a Venezuelan-born cardiologist and publisher of the pioneer newspaper, EL Heraldo de Broward, and founder of the only free healthcare facility in Broward County since 1988, the Light of the World Clinic, his goal was to encourage many others to follow the dreams and success of Latinas who have paved the way for others to follow.
